ISFJ vs. INFJ

Yesterday my brother sent me a link to do the Myers-Briggs personality profile.  (You can find it in my links to the right.)  He said he had found a personality profile he thought was mine, but he wouldn’t tell me until after I had taken the test.

My results came up as “The Nurturer” or ISFJ.  He thought my personality might be “The Protector” or INFJ.  In reading about both personality types, they are very similar and the perfectionist aspect of the Protector really has been a big part of my life.  I don’t think I am as much a perfectionist as I used to be, so maybe that’s why my results came back as Nurturer rather than Protector.  Maybe I’ve mellowed from the Protector to the Nurturer.   I definitely see myself in the characteristics of the Protector, so I don’t think he is wrong in that.

Anyhow, it was a very interesting experience to learn more about myself.
